Today’s installment of Rustler’s Roundup is the last one! I’ve started work on the sequel, which has the tentative title of Desperado Dawn, and I hope to start posting it this coming week. Until I do get it ready for posting, here’s the teaser for it:
Young outlaw Joshua Love tries to leave the desperado life behind, but his former lover, vengeful Jenny Sue Carter, means to keep him on the run–or see him die.

I’m getting together a page to help new readers figure out where to go, first, on this site. I should have that ready for tomorrow. Also coming up for tomorrow is the very last chapter of Rustler’s Roundup! I hope you all have enjoyed it, and I’ll be trying to get its sequel started in serialization, very soon. Next week, if I can manage it!

Guhhhhh… I have a whole bag of chocolate chip cookies to myself! I’m already on a chocolate high, just from eating two of them. I’ve gotten so happy, that I almost forgot that I needed to make an update! (^o^)
No, I haven’t got anything more interesting to talk about, today. My cookies will have to do. ;P

Bleah. Long weekend, but not much in the way of fun for me. In fact, I spent most of it being annoyed and/or depressed. Sometimes I hate holidays! But…that’s all behind me, now, and I have more story pieces to share!
Since I took Friday off and didn’t update, the last chapter for Rustler’s Roundup will now be posted on Thursday, 10 July, instead of Wednesday. I’ll have to think of something else to post in its stead, on Friday! I have a ton of stories, though, so it shouldn’t be a problem to find something to accompany the ShadowFall novel post.
Today, in A Covenant of Shadows, Genjiro and Anya take a walk, and she tries to help him regain a hold on his repressed memories. And in Rustler’s Roundup, Sheriff Jackson snoops around in the Senate saloon, looking for Joshua, but bardog Jack doesn’t feel like being helpful.

Just so you all know, I will not have any updates tomorrow, 4 July, 2008, as it’s a national holiday in the US, and I won’t be at home. I’m updating the ShadowFall novel, today, so there will still be two updates for it, this week. Regular updates will resume on Monday, 28 June. Happy 4th of July to all my US readers!
Today, in A Covenant of Shadows, Anya comes home and finds Genjiro in bad shape, and she gives him more tantalizing information. And in Rustler’s Roundup, Joshua and Ricky go to the Senate saloon, where Josh introduces Ricky to Molly, and then asks her to dinner.

Ugh. I’m not feeling very well, right now. I’ve been having some heart problems, so all I want to do is sleep. I couldn’t stay up to post the update at midnight, and I’m sorry it’s running a bit on the late side, today. I’m doing my best to get them on the site as early in the day as I can, but sometimes, things get in my way.
At least it’s here, eh? (^-^)

Woohoo! Rustler’s Roundup is now complete! I finished the last three chapters, last night, so the story will be winding up on this site on Wednesday, July 9, 2008. Then I get the very fun (can you hear the sarcasm?) job of editing it. I also get the truly fun (no sarcasm, this time!) job of starting the groundwork on the sequel! Until I’m ready to start posting that story, I’ll probably increase the ShadowFall novel’s installments from twice weekly to three times, with new posts on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. We’ll see how that goes, though. I may have something else up my sleeve, to post daily or nigh-daily!
Today, in Rustler’s Roundup, Ricky’s idolization of Joshua seems to have gone up a notch or two.

Whew…! I did a whole lot of writing, on Sunday night! Five full chapters of Rustler’s Roundup, which amounts to about 5,233 words! I’ve done twice that much in one sitting, before, but still, anything over 2K words is a feat for me, lately. Especially considering how hectic and unpleasant my life has been. (O.o)
Today, in A Covenant of Shadows, Doctor Rubenstein gets an unexpected and unpleasant visit from Hiroki Risu. And in Rustler’s Roundup, Ricky leads Joshua to the Metropolitan Hotel, where Josh proceeds to give Jenny and George a royal what-for!

Wow, I slept a lot later than normal, today. I guess posting my updates at 6 in the morning, my time, still counts as being posted for today. Before you know it, my vampire sleep schedule will be permanently killed to death! Mwahahaha! (^o^)
Today, in A Covenant of Shadows, Genjiro has some powerful hallucinations while showering, and ends up calling Anya at work to ask her to come home. And in Rustler’s Roundup, Ricky catches Joshua at the Bullock House hotel, and fills him in on what he thinks Jenny and George are up to.

Heh… I’m slowly getting my sleep pattern readjusted. I went to sleep super early, last night, and got up this morning at a proper farm/ranch time of 4 A.M. This means my update is a few hours later than usual, but I don’t know whether or not anyone is actually expecting it to be online at exactly midnight CST, anyway.
Today, in Rustler’s Roundup, Joshua wakes up in Molly’s bed, after having a bad dream, and ends up running away from love, again.
