I’m so bad. I went out to look at a house, yesterday, and on the way to it, I saw another one for sale that just completely spoiled me for the one I went to see! The spoiler house was a beautiful 3-story Victorian, with 6 bedrooms (one of which was so big, that I imagine it may have originally been an upstairs ballroom, rather than a bedroom!) and 4,649 square feet of living space. The place is absolutely gorgeous, and I couldn’t stop thinking about it, all day long! It’s even painted dark green with cream trim, which is the same color scheme that was on the first Victorian house I ever wanted.
I figured that, if I were to buy it, I could live in it for a while, on its large corner lot in town. Then later, when I’d found my perfect piece of ranch land, I could move that beautiful old house out there and let it be queen of the place. Then I could build my perfect ranch around my perfect old house. That would be too damn cool. *starts heavy dreamin’* (^-^)
Today, in Desperado Dawn, Josh is pleased with Ricky’s shooting progress, but then he gets morbid, as he starts to think about his upcoming situation and the possibility that he might actually die, this time.

Wow, I’ve still been running around like crazy. I’ve got yet another day of it, today. I’ve not been able to get my buffer of story chapters back, yet, but I’m hoping to do that, soon. It’s hard to sit down and write a full chapter at the very end of the day, when I’m worn out from all the other crap I’ve had to do. Most of my time is spent in trying to clear my head of all the things on my agenda, and focus on the story. But I think I’m doing okay with the chapters. I hope you all agree!
Speaking of new chapters, here’s another one! :P
Today, in Desperado Dawn, Jenny makes another attempt at escaping, but Cal isn’t as deeply asleep as she thinks he is.

Sorry for running a bit late with the update, today! I’ve just had way too much to do, and have fallen behind on the writing. I’ve got yet another very full day planned for today, so I may be late with tomorrow’s update, too. I’ll try to be on time, but please be patient, if I’m not. There’s nothing I can do about what’s going on in my life, right now. I just have to try and do the best I can, with what time I have available to me.
Anyway, have some story! (^o^)
Today, in Desperado Dawn, Molly pines for Joshua; Dick pines for Molly, and Jack has had it with the both of them.

I can’t believe I managed to get a chapter done, for today! I’m falling asleep, right now, so forgive me, if I have made any typos. I’ll fix them, later. As soon as this update goes through, I am going to bed, and nobody will be seeing me for at least ten hours. :P
Today, in Desperado Dawn, Josh begins teaching Ricky how to be a gunslinger.

Bleah. Sorry about the missed update, folks. I have been sick and was in the doctor’s office all day, yesterday. I didn’t get a chance to do any writing, at all. But I should have all of this evening to work on stuff, and I hope to have at least one more chapter for Desperado Dawn for tomorrow.
Thanks for your patience and understanding! You guys rock. (^-^)

Whew! I’m still having a lot of trouble trying to find time to write. I’ll be glad when the chaos is done with, and I can get back to my regular schedule. I have no idea when that will happen, but I hope it’s soon.
I had hoped to participate in NaNoWriMo, this year, but if life doesn’t quit kicking me in the gut, I may not be able to do it. I participated, last year, and won. I wrote a full novel of 80,000 words, Three Ways From Sunday, my first finished Western. And if I must say so, myself, it’s a damn good book. It takes place three years later than the current stories in the Desperado series, and Joshua Love is fully into his outlaw life, by then. I’ll eventually post it, here, but I wanted to do the early stories, before that one, so everyone will have a good understanding of Joshua’s character and his motivations. He’s much crazier, at nineteen, than he is at sixteen! If that can be believed. :P Of course, you can get a glimpse of his personality at that age, in the short story, Judas Hearts, which is posted on this site, already. That one takes place a few months before Three Ways From Sunday, and is kind of an intro for it. If you like the short story, you’ll like the novel, too. I guar-an-tee it! (^-^)
Today, in Desperado Dawn, Jenny learns something disturbing about Nathan Blake.

Sorry about the late update for today, folks! I had a lot of stuff to take care of, concerning my late aunt’s estate, and I also had a little bit of sickness trying to sneak up on me. I was unable to find some quiet time in which to write! But as you can see, I finally found a spare hour, and got this latest chapter done. I hope it doesn’t read as sleepy as I feel. :P
Today, in Desperado Dawn, Emmett Cale and Cal Evans set off in search of Henry Owens.

Oh! I almost forgot! Happy Birthday, to Joshua Love! If the story months were running parallel to our months, he’d be 17, today. As it is, he’s still a few months from it, in the storyline. :P
Here’s a cupcake for him!

Eep! It’s Monday, already!! How did this happen?! (O.o) Never mind. I know. It’s called “Not Getting a Weekend.” *sigh*
No, the crap I have been dealing with is NOT yet over. I wish it was, because it has been harder than hell to write. I’m running way too close to the wire, right now. But at least today’s installment of Desperado Dawn is a nice, big chapter. Nearly 2,000 words! Woohoo! Hope you all enjoy it.
Today, in Desperado Dawn, Josh has breakfast with Ricky, and inadvertently reveals his deepest feelings and fears.

Thank God it’s Friday. Not much I care to say about the details of this past week, but THANK GOD IT’S FRIDAY. I hope to be in a better mood for writing blog posts, next week. Sorry about the run of GRR. It should be all past me, soon.
Today, in Desperado Dawn, Jenny almost gets away, again, but is foiled by Emmett Cale–who gives her a little hope for her eventual escape.
