I am working on a drawing of Nathan Blake, today. He’s surprisingly hard to draw, probably because he has such big dark eyes and a somewhat boyish face. It’s hard to reconcile that in my mind with his evil heart! He just does not look as horrible as he is. But…I’m getting there. I shall post the drawing in here, when it’s done.
Today, in Desperado Dawn, Nathan Blake fails to prove himself in bed with the unconscious Jenny Sue Carter, so he leaves her to go in search of the tried-and-true.

Heh heh… I like to play games on Pogo, and occasionally, I play with one or the other of my characters. Most of them are pretty lucky, but the only one who insists upon talking to other players is Joshua Love. Last night, he was talking to a lady about fried chicken, and it was a pretty hilarious conversation. Obviously, she didn’t look at his profile, or she’d have realized she was talking to a fictional character. But what fun! 
Anyway, if you play Pogo games, particularly Sci-Fi slots or First Class Solitaire or Jacks or Better Poker, and would like someone to chat with while playing, add JoshuaLove to your friends list and say Hi to him, if you see him in a room. He’ll be happy to chat, and a talk with him is guaranteed to be amusing. (^-^)
Today, in Desperado Dawn, Sheriff Jackson and his deputies seek the help of the Round Rock Sheriff, in looking for Nathan Blake’s gang…and for Joshua Love.

Not much to talk about, today, other than the excessive heat that’s still beating down on us, around here. It was 103F yesterday, and felt like 115. *whistles and slings off the sweat* Yeah, it’s great Popsicle weather, if you can lick it down before the sun melts it into Kool-aid. 
Oh well. Such is the life in Texas! (^-^)
Today, in A Covenant of Shadows, Genjiro Nakadai goes in to his “job” and has a realization that seriously upsets him. And in Desperado Dawn, Joshua Love gets a fright when he spots the Austin sheriff and his deputies on the streets of Round Rock.

We had one of those weird rain showers, yesterday, the kind where it’s pouring down, and yet, the sun is brightly shining as if nothing’s out of order. I love those showers, just because they feel so surreal. Anyway, it didn’t help to cool things off very much, but I was glad for the moisture in the air, all the same.
Today, in A Covenant of Shadows, Anya Bui discovers her new role isn’t going to be as easy as she’d hoped it would be. And in Desperado Dawn, Jenny Sue Carter gets smart with Nathan Blake, and gets a good taste of his violence.

Heh heh… Nothing so exciting as power outages to report, today. Which…is a good thing! I kind of like it when my life calms down a little bit. Too much excitement can age a fellow, prematurely!
Today, in Desperado Dawn, Nathan Blake’s henchman, Cal Evans, takes George’s palomino into town to sell, and gets spooked, while having lunch at the St. Charles Hotel’s dining room.

Whew! All this excessive heat down here in Texas has caused a lot of power problems. We’ve lost power twice, just in the last 24 hours! Fortunately, the electric companies are very good at what they do, so they usually have us back up and running within a couple of hours. That’s a good thing, too, because when it’s 103+ degrees F outside, it doesn’t take long for the inside of the house to become a sweat box!
Anyway, I am grateful to have power, tonight, so I can stay cool and get my story updates done! Speaking of which…!
Today, in Desperado Dawn, Joshua, Molly and Ricky make it into Round Rock and find themselves an expensive hotel, wherein they meet one of the West’s snootiest room clerks.

Whew! What a busy weekend I have had! I got lots of writing done, and have now regained my 5-day lead on updates for Desperado Dawn. I like to keep a small buffer, like that, in case I’m ill or have some other emergency that keeps me from writing an installment for the day. At least, with the ShadowFall novels, I don’t have to worry. They’re already finished and polished, and all I have to do is copy and paste a chapter for a nice, shiny update! (^-^)
Today, in A Covenant of Shadows, Anya Bui faces General Fuchida and finds out what kind of crazy scheme he has in mind, this time. And in Desperado Dawn, Nathan Blake’s gang argue amongst themselves, and Henry gets himself a warning from the boss dog.

You may have noticed that I have removed a lot of ads from the site. That’s due, in part, to some problems I have been told about, where a certain banner ad was redirecting visitors away from this site and onto a full-page ad. This advertiser had not paid for that kind of ad, and in fact, I had not authorized that type of ad from anyone. Naturally, this made me very angry. I’ve also been thinking about removing some of the ads, anyway, as they slow down the load time for the pages.
So now, the only ads on this site are from Project Wonderful, which is a network that’s helped me a lot in bringing new visitors here. Woof. I really hate some of my characters. Well, not really hate them, hate them, because they are my fictional children, but some of them do reprehensible things, things that I just do not like to have to write. Nathan Blake, for instance, simply needs to have his terrible head blown off. It’s very hard to write for a character as nasty as he is, for to do so honestly, I have to get into his head and think as he thinks, follow his twisted logic and see things as he sees them. It’s not easy, and it’s not pleasant, either. He has managed to disturb me in a deep way, today, and I know it’s only going to get worse, from here. (O.o)
Today, in Desperado Dawn, Nasty Nate does nasty things to poor Jenny Sue Carter.
