I’m moving, this week, so I may not have any updates for the stories. It depends upon how fast I can get things done, and I am not counting on being able to do anything quickly. So it’s safe to assume the updates will be delayed until after September 7th.
Thanks for reading, and wish me luck! Hope to see you, again, soon!

Still lots of craziness going on in our house, right now, and with this Labor Day holiday weekend, it’s gotten even worse. I’m going to go ahead and say I won’t have an update for Monday, because it’s likely I will not even be at home to do one. If I can’t manage to get it online for Monday, I will do Monday’s post on Tuesday, so there will still be a new chapter for both A Covenant of Shadows and Desperado Dawn. Next Friday will be the last chapter for the ShadowFall novel, but the Western will still be ongoing for some time to come.
I hope you all have a nice weekend! I’m going to do my best to have one. (^-^)
Today, in A Covenant of Shadows, Genjiro gets into the uncomfortable spot of having to explain himself to Anya, after she talks to Ambassador Wilde. And in Desperado Dawn, Joshua accepts Fate’s insistence upon him becoming a deputy, and he gets his first glimpse of Nathan Blake.
Today’s Updates:
A Covenant of Shadows
A Covenant of Shadows, chapter 29 (ShadowFall novel)
Desperado Dawn
Desperado Dawn, chapter 35 (Desperado novel)

Stuff is still crazy, around here. I’m hoping to have an update for Friday, but I may not have one for Monday, due to the Labor Day holiday and some other things going on in my life. We’ll just have to see, I guess. For now, have a little chunk of the Old West. (^-^)
Today, in Desperado Dawn, Nathan Blake gets ready for the bank job, and decides to leave Jenny in the custody of Emmett’s woman.

Things are going a bit strange for us, at the moment, so I may not be able to update every day this week. If I can’t, I’ll post another notice to that effect, but I’m hoping I can continue the serials without interruption. We’ll just have to wait and see what happens.
Today, in Desperado Dawn, Cal Evans gets another faceful of Jenny Sue Carter’s scorn.

Whew. This installment was hard to write. Poor Joshua. He’s so mixed up! I wish I could let him see that he’s not as bad as he thinks he is, but then, there would be no story. *sigh* Sometimes, it’s hard being God. :P
Today, in Desperado Dawn, Joshua starts thinking he needs to go his own way, for the safety of Ricky and Molly, but his friends have other ideas about that.

I’ve had way too many sweets in the house, this past weekend! Not only did I make some deep dish brownies with dark chocolate chips (from scratch!), myself, but my mom brought by some goodies she had made for us! Peanut butter cookies, vanilla wafer cake and double chocolate cake! Whee! I’m still so sugar high, that I can’t stand it. Thankfully, I was able to come down enough to write today’s installment for Desperado Dawn! :P
Today, in A Covenant of Shadows, General Fuchida gives his orders to Risu, regarding how to handle Genjiro’s escape. And in Desperado Dawn, Nate and Henry ride into Round Rock to check out the bank and plan their routes in and out of town, for the holdup.

Thank God it’s Friday. This has been a chaotic and not-altogether-pleasant week. I’m so tired, and I haven’t got anything in particular to talk about, today, so I’ll leave it at that.
Have some stories!
Today, in A Covenant of Shadows, Genjiro and Anya make their escape from the midrise and attempt to rendevous with the Aquarius liner, as per the plan. And in Desperado Dawn, Molly thinks it would be a grand idea for Joshua to become a deputy.
Today’s Updates:
A Covenant of Shadows
A Covenant of Shadows, chapter 27 (ShadowFall novel)

Wow…It’s been raining, almost non-stop around here. This whole coming week is predicted to be full of rain, rain and more rain. I don’t mind rain sometimes, but too much depresses me. I’m feeling it in a bad way, already. (-.-)
Today, in Desperado Dawn, Jenny Sue Carter starts getting her claws embedded into Nathan Blake.

*sigh* I cannot stop looking at old houses. I had thought I was settled on one that I liked the most, but no! It seems I just can’t be satisfied with “good enough.” I’m looking for what will be the perfect home for me. I’m sure it will turn up, eventually. But my requirements make it a hard search!
What I want is an old house (pre-1900), multi-storied and not “remuddled” out of its original beauty, very large and detailed with lots of wood and mouldings. I want said house sitting on an acreage, rather than a city lot, in an area where I can at least have horses, if not goats. I’ve fallen in love with many houses within different townships, but I keep coming back to the problem of “where will I keep my horses?!” I do not want to stable them at someone else’s place. I cannot be happy with my horses miles away. I want the ability to walk out of my house and straight to them, any time of day or night, so that I can give them adequate attention, love and care. I become deeply attached to horses, and I could not live with them at a distance from my home. No, they must be on my own property.
These requirements cut down on the number of suitable properties, considerably, and they also make the search, itself, difficult. Some realty pages have an advanced search option, but I find it often does not work right, if you try to search for homes over a certain age. I think the turn of the 21st century has a lot to do with how the scripts calculate a home’s age. They are reading “2003″ and other such recent dates as being older than 51 years!
Oh well. I shall keep looking, and at some point, my perfect home will surface! (^-^)
Today, in Desperado Dawn, Sheriff Jackson tells Joshua Love what he has planned for him.

Bleah. Too much rain, and rain always depresses me. I hope it will be over with, soon. It makes me sleepy AND down, and that’s just not a good combination for getting work done!
Sometime tonight, after I have done some more writing, I intend to make some home-made brownies…with dark chocolate chips inside. *drool* I hope the writing comes quickly and easily, so I can hurry and get to my chocolate! :P
Today, in Desperado Dawn, Nathan Blake gets a big taste of Jenny Sue Carter’s bedroom “trick.”
