Yay! Phone and internet service are back online, for us! This was a very frustrating experience, but I’m glad it’s over, for the moment.
As far as updating goes, I’m not going to make an update, again, until Monday, 2 June. But, it’s going to be a BIG update, with several chapters for both of the serialized novels all at once. I need a little bit of time to get all my internet ducks back in order, since this loss of service was a major setback, as far as getting my work done. The majority of my work is done online, and thus, if I can’t get online, I have no income. I’ve taken a big hit, because of this week of no internet access, so if anyone would like to help out with a small donation, I’d seriously appreciate it! A donation of as little as $2 will help! It will go toward paying the hosting fees for this site, and insure that I can keep posting free stories for you to enjoy.

Sorry, everyone. I have no internet or phone connection, right now, and no way of getting my files online. I was able to borrow a computer for a few minutes to make this post, but I’m not going to be able to post an update from here. I hope to have the problems sorted out for Monday. If I can get them solved, sooner, I’ll go ahead and post today’s update over the weekend. I don’t imagine I’ll get it resolved that fast, though.

I about shopped myself out, last night, looking for nifty things for my ranch! So I’m kind of avoiding all that, tonight. I never realized how addictive internet shopping could be. (O.o) I found myself wanting to look at “just one more site” until very late!
Well, I’m free of it, right now! hehehe And I have some more story for you, which I hope is way more entertaining than me sitting here babbling about looking at stuff for my ranch.

I’ve been having fun going around to various websites and trying to outfit my ranch with quality cool stuff. So far, I’ve found a lot of nifty furnishings, and some really nice (read: expensive) copper cookware, as well as some nice bed linens, rugs, and accent pieces that I like a lot. I’ve already been to some car websites and have “built” my vehicles, including a Chevy Silverado Dooley pickup as my ranch truck, and a Ford Mustang convertible as my personal fun vehicle. It’s all shaping up, quite nicely! It has been easy to find the kind of things I like, since I’ve taken away the expense ceiling and decided the sky’s the limit on decorating! Even so, I’m still not spending as much as I expected to.
Er, spending, as in pretending to spend. I haven’t got the funds for all that stuff. Yet. (^-^)
Today, in Rustler’s Roundup, Joshua finds out what happened to Bill, during the fighting.

I am pooped! Lots of cleaning and re-organizing around our house, this week. I seem to have been bitten by a spring-cleaning bug, and now I’m already all worn out. But things are looking nice! I’m proud of myself.
I also hope my Canadian friends had a lovely long weekend for Victoria Day! I’m looking forward to our next long weekend, which will be Memorial Day, the weekend of the 26th. I’m hoping my family will have their annual fish fry, because I’m hungry for fish! (^o^)

Holy cows in a blender!! I made a big mistake on Friday’s update. Instead of posting chapter 37 for The Faraian Conspiracy, I managed to post chapter 38. So, in order to fix that mixup, I’m putting the real chapter 37 in its proper place and adding 38 in, again, at the end. That’s why there are two links for that novel, today. Chapter 37 had the wrong guts, last time. It’s all fixed, now! Sorry about that.
Guh…I think this means I’m just way too stressed out, lately. (-.-)
Today, in The Faraian Conspiracy, Mara gets an unexpected visit, while he’s having his bath. In the next chapter, Jason has a violent meeting with a robotic patroller, as he tries to re-enter the city of Faqar. And in Rustler’s Roundup, the battle between Joshua and Bill and Ramon’s men intensifies.

Thankfully, we had no more storms, so I was able to do my work, as usual. I’m still a bit behind where I’d like to be, but not so far behind that I’m worrying about it. One of the major problems I was fretting about has been taken care of, thanks to a special angel of a friend! Because of that, I can relax a bit and try to get back on track with my writing and music projects. Woohoo! \(^o^)/
Today, in The Faraian Conspiracy, Jason has a violent meeting with a robotic patroller, as he tries to re-enter the city of Faqar. And in Rustler’s Roundup, Ramon’s men catch up with Joshua and Bill, and the result isn’t very pretty!

Storms, tonight! I worried I wasn’t going to get my update in on time, for today. Thankfully, I’m only a little bit later than usual. But because of the lingering storms, I’m going to keep this post brief and not chance frying my modem.
Today, in Rustler’s Roundup, Ramon’s men track Joshua and Bill to the town of China Spring, but the dissension amongst the gang members is growing worse.

Rough week, this week! Too many problems. Too many headaches. Too many people giving me crap. I hereby wish this week to be started over and re-done in a more pleasant fashion. Or spanked. Either would make me happy.
In the meantime, I guess I’d better go look at some more horses or something and take my mind off the piles of crap that are trying to knock me down. (O.o)
Today, in Rustler’s Roundup, Joshua and Bill decide they have enough of a lead on Ramon’s men that they can afford to go into the town of China Spring and get something good to eat for themselves and their horses, and Josh manages to draw attention to himself with his banjo.

Since I’m still looking at horses for my ranch, I thought I’d share another pic of one of my current favorite candidates! This is Endi, who is a 4-year-old registered Appaloosa gelding with a unique leopard pattern coat.
He’s got gorgeous big eyes and a sweet expression. He’s still a little guy, right now, only 14.3 hands high (a hand is 4 inches), and he reportedly loves to herd goats, which is just what I’d want him to do! He is definitely on my must-have equine list! So if I met him and we hit it off, well, he would be coming home with me to be loved on, every day. (^-^)
And now, for something completely different! In Rustler’s Roundup, the four remaining members of Ramon’s gang are hot on the trail, following Joshua and Bill southward, but there is growing dissension among them…which will certainly not lead to anything good!
