Heat, Mindgames and Anti-sociality

April 22nd, 2008 Kai Starr

Well, we are firmly in spring, here in Mesquite, Texas. Tuesday saw a high temperature of 88 F, with a heat index (due to the high humidity) of 90 F. We’ve got scattered thunderstorms in the forecast for the next several days, and the weeds in our yard are growing like a wildfire in a windstorm.

The coming heat doesn’t make me happy, since the a/c has gone out in my car, again. Driving around in 90+ degree temps without a/c is not fun. Certainly not fun, when you’re sitting in heavy traffic, where the heat builds up even more. (O.o)

I’m feeling a little anti-social today, for some reason, too. Do me a favor and hop over to my jukebox and play “Nobody Home.” It’s a nice, anti-social, Goth-flavored minor blues tune, stuffed full of heavy organs and church bells. It’s one of my best songs, ever. I play it on days like this, when I want to climb under the bed and pretend the rest of the world isn’t there. :P

As for my updates, today, in Rustler’s Roundup, Jenny begins playing a very dangerous game with Ramon and Joshua.

Today’s Updates:
