Ugh. Part of me really hates spring. That would be the part of me that is allergic to almost every tree, shrub, and grass in Texas, the part of me that spends this time of year in sneezy, sniffly, itchy misery. Allergies suck, and I wish I had a non-drug way of dealing with them, other than just trying to cope with the symptoms.
*sigh* I guess I could always move back to southern California, where I didn’t have most of these allergy problems. The kink in that rope, though, is that I can’t afford to move to California, and couldn’t afford to stay there, after I got there. Been there, done that, still have the scars and don’t want no more! Though, if money were no issue, I’d happily return to Glendale and find another nice place among the foothills. I enjoyed living there (when I didn’t think about the problems I had, at the time). It’s a nice area.
For now, I suppose I’ll just stay here and deal with the allergens as best I can, and hope that my multi-million-dollar ship will soon come in, so I can at least afford to buy some decent allergy meds to help me enjoy my big ol’ ranch in the Hill Country. (^-^)
Today, in Rustler’s Roundup, Joshua and Bill pack up their belongings and set out toward Austin and San Antonio, in hopes of evading Ramon’s gang!

I’m nearly done with the re-mixing of my Raw album! I’m so glad, too, because my ears have had enough!! I’ll be happy when I finish the last song, as then I can start on putting the packages together and getting the CDs out to those who had wanted them. I’m behind on all that, so it will really feel good to git ‘er done.
But for now, I’m about to have some 4-meat pizza, which I shall top with leftover roast and 4 more cheeses, to make the ultimate ultimate pizza! YUM! (^o^)
And, for today’s update, in Rustler’s Roundup, Jenny gets her romantic scenario, but it doesn’t quite turn out the way she had planned!

I got three of the eight songs on my Raw album re-mixed, last night. Five more to go! It’s a very tedious process, and my ears get tired, fast. I could probably stand to have some better headphones and some good monitors to use for mixing, but money’s just been too short to buy those things. Without them, things just take a little longer than they would, otherwise. Oh well. I’ll get it all done, soon. I hope!
As for today’s updates, in Rustler’s Roundup, Jenny goes off to meet Ramon and to put her manipulative plan into action.

Whee! I’ve been working on music, this weekend. Trying to get my last album all cleaned up and mixed real purty. It’s tedious and ear-tiring work, but it’s going to sound good, when I’m done. I still need to do the guitar solo for “Wrong Side of Love,” but that will probably be the next to last thing I do. I want all this other mixing out of the way, so I can concentrate on that one song and what it needs. Still a lot to do, but I’m gettin’ there!
Now for today’s updates! In The Faraian Conspiracy, Jason and Mara make their way through the tunnels of Faqar and toward General Prasad’s house, and Mara gets to see just how lethal Jason can be. And in Rustler’s Roundup, Joshua, Bill and Jenny make it back home, and Joshua promptly decides to get drunk to calm himself down.

Bleah. Still very tired. But tonight is (supposedly) the last night of extra work for this week, so I’m hoping to get myself rested up and back on track, this weekend. Maybe by then I’ll have thought of something interesting to say in this blog.
For today’s updates, in The Faraian Conspiracy, Jason and Mara have an unusual moment of almost closeness. And in Rustler’s Roundup, Joshua, Bill and Jenny go to Fort Worth, and find out what Jenny’s father did with the portrait.

Just got home from work, and I am exhausted. I’m literally too tired to think of anything interesting to say, tonight. So, have some story, instead. (^-^)
Today, in Rustler’s Roundup, Joshua, Jenny and Bill head for home, and along the way, Josh decides to ask Jenny some serious questions.

Well, we are firmly in spring, here in Mesquite, Texas. Tuesday saw a high temperature of 88 F, with a heat index (due to the high humidity) of 90 F. We’ve got scattered thunderstorms in the forecast for the next several days, and the weeds in our yard are growing like a wildfire in a windstorm.
The coming heat doesn’t make me happy, since the a/c has gone out in my car, again. Driving around in 90+ degree temps without a/c is not fun. Certainly not fun, when you’re sitting in heavy traffic, where the heat builds up even more. (O.o)
I’m feeling a little anti-social today, for some reason, too. Do me a favor and hop over to my jukebox and play “Nobody Home.” It’s a nice, anti-social, Goth-flavored minor blues tune, stuffed full of heavy organs and church bells. It’s one of my best songs, ever. I play it on days like this, when I want to climb under the bed and pretend the rest of the world isn’t there.
As for my updates, today, in Rustler’s Roundup, Jenny begins playing a very dangerous game with Ramon and Joshua.

Well, my sickies are getting closer to being over, seems like. WOOHOO! \(^o^)/ I can’t wait for them to be totally gone. I hate being sick. I am, however, still a little depressed, and still very tired. So I’m not going to yammer a lot, today. In fact, this is it.
Today, in Rustler’s Roundup, Josh, Jenny and Bill go out to Ramon’s new gang hideout for a meeting, and Snake gets bolder with Jenny.

Oh boy. Not only am I sick, right now, but I am depressed, and on top of being depressed, I’ve started pining for my long-gone flying days. Once I get started thinking about the planes, my mood stays up in pleasant nostalgia for a while, and then dives into yearning and crashes in explosive flames. I miss flying, sooooooo very much!! Although, I don’t miss having to use that blamed radio. I always hated that, and if I could get away with not talking, I didn’t talk. Drove everybody nuts, too, because they all thought I “sounded so professional” on the air. Nobody could understand why I hated talking on the radio so much, and to be honest, I’m not really sure why, myself. I just hated it, and would still hate it, were I still flying. I don’t suppose I really need a reason, any more than someone who hates broccoli needs to explain why they hate broccoli. Some things you just don’t like, and it ain’t nobody’s business why you don’t like ‘em.
(For the record, I love broccoli.)
As for today’s updates, in The Faraian Conspiracy, Jason and Mara nearly get stranded in the desert. And in Rustler’s Roundup, Jenny’s father puts his plan to separate his daughter from Joshua into action.

Stormy weather, down in Mesquite, tonight. Thankfully, the power didn’t go out. I got all the candles and matches out, just in case. That’s powerful magic, you know? The best way to prevent a catastrophe is to plan for it as if it were a certainty! It sure seems to work that way, anyhow.
For today’s updates, in The Faraian Conspiracy, Ara and Fari get their first look at the planes Major Lang has brought them. And in Rustler’s Roundup, the antagonism between Joshua and Snake ramps up a notch, out at Ramon’s hideout.
