Whew! Narrowly averted a major crisis in my life, yesterday, so today, I’m kind of out of it and still reeling from the stress. Sorry the update is a bit late, but I figured you guys would just come back later if the new story parts weren’t here, at midnight. There was just no way I could have done it, earlier.
Anyway, not much else to talk about, today, so on to the updates! For today, in Rustler’s Roundup, Joshua, Jenny and Bill head back to Dechman (which is now called Grand Prairie, for those into such matters of trivia), and Josh shows Jenny a little of his machismo silliness.

Bleah! I spent all weekend working on website stuff, trying to back up files from my old host, move my databases, check that things are working, etc. I’m about sick of looking at the internet, right now. (-.-) Still, I will be glad when this move is all done, and all my cyber ducks are back in their respective rows. I’ve been far more satisfied with TopClassHost than I was with my old hosting service. TCH is fast, reliable, and offers everything my other host offered. Why put up with crap, when you can have something better? I’m looking forward to a long and happy relationship with them!
Since I have slow and crappy dialup internet, I’ve been going to my sister’s house to do my massive downloads and uploads, borrowing her cable connection. Man…it’s about 50 times faster than my home connection! And I still spent all freaking day downloading files. Of course, I also got covered in cat hair and dog slobber, because her animals flock to me as if I’m Doctor Doolittle. They climb all over me, lick me, rub against me, get right against my face, paw at my face, meow or whine for my attention, fall asleep on me, etc. I guess they just know how much I love them, and I sure do love them. When covered in animals, I get so pumped with joy that I have a hard time not crying. Heh…yeah, I’m a soft-hearted sap. But that’s okay, right? At least I can always be assured that animals will love me, even if people don’t. (^-^)
For today’s updates, in The Faraian Conspiracy, Ara’s son, Karani, travels to Qa’al in Lema’an, in order to become a snake. And in Rustler’s Roundup, Ramon introduces his newest brothers–and sister–to his other gang members, one of whom is a liiiiittle too interested in Jenny.

It’s Friday! Woohoo! 
Heh…not that it really makes any difference to me, since I work 24/7/365. I never get days off! *whine*
But, anyway, I’m trying to have fun. Wrote a quicky cheesy song for a musician friend of mine last night and am waiting to hear whether or not he likes it. If he does, maybe I’ll share it, here, on Monday! I love writing lyrics, so anytime someone needs a set of musical words, I’m all over it like a tick on a prize hog!!
Yeah. Aaaaaanyway, for today’s updates, in The Faraian Conspiracy, Ara comes home to find the results of the violent visitor’s intrusion…and the visitor, himself. And in Rustler’s Roundup, Josh, Jenny and Bill make it to Ramon’s house, where they partake of his hospitality and learn what kind of job he can offer them!

Urgggg…I’m really feeling weird, lately. I don’t know if it’s the cold/hot/cold/wet/dry/uck weather we’ve been having down here in the Lone Star state or what, but my head is allllll funky inside. Weird. Whatever it is, I’ll be glad when the crap is over. Maybe I just need some serious chocolate! Fortunately, I have some! Woohoo! \(^o^)/
Oh yeah…I have been working on a new pic of Joshua Love, from the Desperado Western series, though this pic is from the last novel in that series, Whirlwind. It’s still unfinished, and takes place in 1876, some six years after Rustler’s Roundup, but poor Josh is about completely off his nut, by that point. I think you can see it in this pic! He’s 22 or 23 years old, here:
He wants his gun in this pic, and I’m a little afraid to give it to him. He might shoot me, though he promises he won’t. 
I’ll post the finished version, once it’s done.

Well, I’m not feeling any chattier today than I was yesterday. I’m kinda depressed, in fact, for a whole lot of reasons that I don’t want to go into, right now. Suffice to say, a bunch of sucky things keep happening. Still, I have an update for you, today. I’ll sit over here and quietly brood, while you go read it.

Ugh… Terrible wet weather, today!!! Me hates it. It’s got me feelin’ kind of funky, so I’ve not got much to talk about, right now. No worries. I’ll probably chatter your cyber ears off, tomorrow.

Wow…some parts of DFW actually got snow, on Thursday!!! Snow is so rare for us that we always find ourselves making a big deal about it. Most of the time, the flakes don’t stick, and we end up with a bunch of nasty brown sludge and ice, but when we do get some snow, for a little while, we have a tiny layer of white frosting on our chunk of the earth.
I’m not really a fan of snow, though. Or of cold weather, or of wet weather. No, I’m a sunshine kind of guy, and we tend to have lots of clear, sunny skies here in Texas. If only the allergens weren’t so rough on me, I’d be pretty happy with the area. This state is quite diverse, in many ways…and we are one of the only states in the Union to be free of a state income tax. Woohoo! I’m more or less a Libertarian, so that kind of lets you know what my feelings are, toward income taxes.
Today, in The Faraian Conspiracy, Ara has a new secret admirer, among his soldiers. And in Rustler’s Roundup, feisty Jenny has a showdown with her father.

With any luck, I shall be moving my old Kyoki Press Comics site off its current crappy host and onto this new, much better host, TopClassHost. I set up the Outlaw Starr site, here, as a test, and TopClassHost has held up, this past month. I’ll be glad to have my other site here, as well, and glad to know that all my pages and scripts and databases are actually working, instead of hanging up all the time, as they do on the old host. Anyway, wish me luck with the move! That site is huge, so it’s not going to be a quick and easy job to move it over. (O.o)
For today’s updates, in Rustler’s Roundup, Joshua’s mare, Moonshine, gets her assurance that her boy is all right, and Joshua, himself, hears some very special words from Jenny! I don’t think he was quite prepared for that, either.

I’ve been getting lots of nice comments on the music I did for the 2008 RPM Challenge, and I do appreciate those! It sure feels good to know somebody enjoys my music, because I sure enjoy making it! I also extend thanks to those of you who have emailed about the stories, here. A little praise goes a long, long way with me! It ensures I’ll keep bustin’ my butt to keep the stories coming.
