More Music, More Pain

March 3rd, 2008 Kai Starr

Well, my RPM 2008 album is finished! Demo versions of all the songs are up on my jukebox, as of right now. The Kai’s Music link in the right-hand sidebar now also goes to the jukebox page on this site, instead of Virb. Check out the titles with “Raw” appended to them, for the latest album’s songs. All of these are unmastered versions, and I’ve added some song notes to the page, so it now has something besides just the player. Twelve songs are there, including the eight from the “Raw” album (though not in the order in which they appear on the album), three from the 2007 “Monochrome Heart” album, and one from the as-yet-unfinished 2008 “Desperado” soundtrack. Hope you enjoy the free music! If you have any comments on any of it, feel free to post them here or send me an email. I’m always glad to get feedback!

Oh, and one of the songs, “The Ballad of the Beam,” is one I wrote for Joshua Love. Or rather, I like to say he wrote it for me. I even sang it in his silly accent. Have a listen to it, in particular, if you’re reading the “Desperado” series. It’s a fun and silly story song, done in Western Swing style. A real boot-scootin’ boogie! Make Josh happy and give it a play or two. (^-^)

Here’s my album cover! That’s my drawing, btw. It’s Jax, from my Angels of the Sword webcomic.

Now for the story updates! Today, in The Faraian Conspiracy, the Parilaxan rebels take stock of their losses, after the Lema’anite army leave the premises. And in Rustler’s Roundup, Josh wakes up to a lot of pain from his injuries, and a lot of irritation from Bill’s snoopy questions about Josh’s “secret” scar.

Today’s Updates:

The Faraian Conspiracy, chapter 16 (ShadowFall novel)

Rustler’s Roundup, chapter 24 (Desperado novel)
