Weird Cowboy Ways
February 21st, 2008 Kai StarrSomeone asked me why Josh acts so weird around girls, so I thought I’d answer here, for everyone’s benefit. (^-^)
Rustler’s Roundup takes place in 1869, and in those days, working cowboys didn’t have much chance to be around women, other than those in brothels or the off-limits daughters of ranch owners. Mostly, they spent all their time around other men, and in the Old West, men far outnumbered women in most places. It was not uncommon for them to have strange attitudes toward women or to be uncomfortable around them, or even distrustful of them, as Bill is. Josh is 16 years old, and is still a virgin. He’s never so much as had a casual girlfriend, before, and he’s not exactly sure what to think of Jenny. His body and eyes are interested, but his mind is confused! I’m sure he’ll get over that, though, with more exposure to the fairer sex, and he’ll definitely be getting more of that!
Today, Bill continues his “sage” advice over a steak dinner at the El Paso Hotel in Fort Worth, but Josh finds he can’t stop thinking about Jenny, even though he goes back and forth between wanting to kiss her, wanting to spank her, and wanting to be rid of her, forever. Sounds like love, to me!
