Today, in Desperado Dawn, Joshua and Ricky find a cave to hide out in, and Ricky rewraps the bandage around Joshua’s broken ribs. And in Justice Rides In Leather, Garrett and Miss Annie find lodgings with a farmer, outside of Memphis.

I was out all day, running errands, so I didn’t get any significant writing done, for the two novels I have in serialization, right now. But no matter! Tomorrow, I have only at-home chores to do, so I should be able to devote more time to the stories. I’m looking forward to finding out what happens next! (^o^)
Today, in Desperado Dawn, Sheriff Harrison and his posse light out after Joshua and Ricky, and Dick schemes another scheme for getting rid of Josh. And in Justice Rides In Leather, Garrett and Miss Annie reach Trenton, Tennessee, and are both disturbed by the devastation of the town.

Another big chunk of writing done, for today! I didn’t get any further on the NaNoWriMo novel, but I wrote just under 8,000 words for Desperado Dawn! So I’ve got my update buffer back, and wow, is some of the upcoming stuff intense! (O.o)
Anyway, I plan on concentrating on Justice Rides In Leather, on Tuesday, to see how far along I can get it. I’m still running slightly ahead of where I need to be to win the challenge, but at 30,904 words, I’m not where I need to be, in terms of finishing the story. So wish me luck and flying fingers, for Tuesday! \(^o^)/
Today, in Desperado Dawn, Joshua Love makes a daring escape from Sheriff Harrison, with Ricky Celis right on his heels. And in Justice Rides In Leather, Ashley Martin pays a visit to Sheriff Samples, to get some more dirty work done.

Well, I got a lot of writing done for my two ongoing Westerns, this weekend! And because my schedule is still a bit off, I’m going to be posting my updates the night before they’re due, as I did all last week. So Monday’s update will actually be posted around 9 or 10 P.M., CST. Just so’s you know. :P
Today, in Desperado Dawn, Sheriff Jackson gets the telegram from Round Rock, and starts gathering up his deputies. And in Justice Rides In Leather, Miss Annie is still bugging Garrett about being in love with him.

Very busy, this week! I’ve scarcely had any time to sit down and do some serious writing. Still, I have enough of a buffer to finish out this week’s updates, and part of next week’s, so I guess I’m doing all right.

Not much to say, today, since I was feeling a little stressed out and sickly, yesterday. I did get a good bit of writing done, in spite of it, though! Just not quite as much as I’d done, the day before.

Today, in Desperado Dawn, Sheriff Harrison and Shorty take care of Henry’s body, and then set off after Joshua, when they realize one of the maps is missing. And in Justice Rides In Leather, Garrett finds he is being followed, as he starts off on his long journey.

I’m back on track, again, with my NaNoWriMo novel, Justice Rides In Leather! I had fallen behind in my daily word counts, but I just did a whopping 5,095 words in one sitting, and got myself ahead, again. Yay, me! \(^o^)/
That gives me a nice buffer for the daily updates, here, which always eases my stress level, considerably. I hope you’re enjoying the new story, too. I’m certainly enjoying the writing of it, though I’m not trying as hard to be historically accurate, as I have tried with some of the other Westerns. I will likely go back, during the editing stage, and do some rewriting of the story, so that it will be more accurate for the places and times I’ve chosen for the setting, but for now, I just want to finish the first draft. Thanks for coming along on this wild ride!

Yikes! It’s already turning cold, out here. I know you folks up north will snicker at me and my definition of “cold,” but that’s okay. I’ll snicker right back at you and your definition of “hot.” :P Anyway, it’s cold enough to make me uncomfortable. It doesn’t really take much cold to make me shiver. I’ve always been that way, too. Just ain’t built to take cool weather! (^o^)
Today, in Desperado Dawn, Lottie discovers Jenny’s hidden knife, and scolds her, accordingly. And in Justice Rides In Leather, Garrett pays his last social call on Miss Julia Grace Butrum.

I’m still doing pretty well in my NaNoWriMo novel, Justice Rides In Leather. I’m at least staying just beyond the goal, for daily writings! I figure I’ll at least hit the 50,000-word mark, by the end of the month, which will be a satisfying feat, considering that I’m writing that book at the same time as I’m working on Desperado Dawn. It’s not all that easy to write two books, at once, but it sure is a good workout for the brain! :P
Today, in Desperado Dawn, Deputy Shorty Baker asks Joshua for the maps he got from Henry Owens, but Josh doesn’t give him all of them, as he suspects they mean to leave him out of the chase for the rest of the Blake gang! And in Justice Rides In Leather, Garrett walks Miss Annie home, and the encounter with the poor girl leaves him feeling down.
