Hello, friends! I'm Kai Starr, writer, artist, musician, chocoholic, general weird guy and snuggler of kittens. That's me on the CD cover, at left. Yes, really. ;P

What else can I say about myself, that would have any relevance to what this site is about? I suppose I could tell you that I've had a whirlwind of a terrible life, have had multiple crazy adventures, loved lots of beautiful women, and starved far more times than I'd like to remember.

I've flown airplanes; raced cars; and driven ATV's in the Brazos River. I've been an alcoholic and a drug addict and a street fighter. I've had lots of broken bones and once almost drowned. I've died, twice. I've lived on a working ranch in Texas, starved in an artists' community in Los Angeles, and nearly died of heatstroke while living in the California desert. I've played guitar and sang in rock bands, performed at Renaissance faires, recorded three albums of my original music, written scores of novels and short stories and poems and plays, designed websites for a living, and published webcomics on Kyoki Press (under my real name! Kai Starr is my stage name. ;P ).

I guess I could say all that life experience has given me a lot of things to write about, and a deep well of emotional hell to draw upon, for said writings. It's also given me a big pile of joy to draw upon. Though I've known a lot of pain and betrayal in my life, I've also known a lot of love and loyalty, and have many friends who adore me as much as I adore them. What more could anyone want out of life, than to love and be loved in return?

So, anyway, I suppose that's enough about me to more than satisfy most people's curiousity about who I am and what kind of person I am. Still, if you want to take a peek into the many various things I do, here's a list of a bunch of places where I hang out. Hard to imagine that I do all this online socializing, when I'm pretty reclusive and quiet in "real life!!" (~o^)

Wow...I can't list all my hangouts, here. The list would be stupendously long! If you hang out somewhere that I haven't got listed, there's a slight chance I might hang out there, too, from time to time. I go lots of places. ;P
